‘Full Coverage’ Feature Now Available For Google Search Results…
A new update of Google will improve the Google search results with the ‘Full Coverage’ feature that was limited to Google News initially. This new Google Search results feature is for latest news results.
Now you will be able to get some more context for the latest stories from different sources. Full Coverage feature was included in 2018 for Google News. This feature had to be introduced for search results in 2019.

Although as expected, this didn’t happen. And the feature didn’t show up in 2019 for Google Search Results. But finally now in 2021, this feature will be introduced for search results as well.
Now I resonate with the fact that it’s not necessary for you to be a regular user of Google News. And hence, you might not know what the feature is?! So let me explain.
Introduction To Google’s Full Coverage Feature For Google Search Results
The feature uses artificial intelligence (AI). This connects the similar stories in real time only. As a user, everyone is interested in learning about how the story is being reported and how the story moves forward.

Currently, this feature is available only for some stories. To explain it better, for instance imagine that a new phone is released in the market. So what do you think will it get Full Coverage? No. Because this is not a recurring event.
Instead, it is a one time event. Now let’s talk about any event that can get the feature. The best example right now is of the pandemic. The story will keep evolving, therefore it is more likely to get the Full Coverage feature.
This will definitely drive more traffic to certain stories but let me tell you that there is no specific SEO strategy to trigger the feature. Just make sure to optimize it for SEO as usual. And Google itself will decide whether to pick your article or not.

When you search for info based on a current news that is trending, you will be seeing a button once you scroll to the end of Top Stories. That button is for View Full Coverage.
You can also find this by selecting “More news on…” just below the Top Stories. Google has to say that the feature for search results is better if compared to the feature available for Google News.
